With a Master’s degree in Environmental Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Ecology and Geographical Sciences from The University of Queensland, Christopher brings environmental assessments, strategic ecological design, and the development of environmental management plans. His career includes notable contributions to Commonwealth and State-level environmental approvals for large-scale projects, including renewable energy initiatives, infrastructure development, and conservation planning.

Christopher’s skill set spans technical ecological assessments, flora and fauna identification, and preparation of detailed environmental reports. He excels in coordinating multidisciplinary teams, liaising with clients to build lasting relationships, and ensuring compliance with complex legislative frameworks. Passionate about fostering collaboration and delivering sustainable solutions, Christopher’s strategic thinking and commitment to excellence consistently drive impactful outcomes for both clients and the environment.

With a Masters degree in Geography and Environmental Management, Mark brings 18 years of experience delivering complex environmental projects across a broad range of sectors, including residential, mixed-use (housing, commercial, and light industrial), renewable energy, extractive industries, and linear infrastructure.

As an experienced environmental project manager, he is skilled at fostering strong, collaborative relationships with clients and technical specialists, leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver Environmental and Social Impact Assessments across New South Wales and Queensland.

His work supporting clients through construction-phase compliance has sharpened his ability to navigate regulatory frameworks and promote environmental outcomes that align with both client objectives and best-practice environmental management.

Neha Chugh is an Environmental Consultant with experience in environmental planning, GIS and spatial analysis, constraints mapping, and regulatory approvals. She has supported a range of projects across the infrastructure and renewable energy sectors, undertaking desktop investigations, developing constraints assessments and approvals strategies, and contributing to environmental management plans and planning applications. Neha brings strong technical capability in ArcGIS Pro, environmental and regulatory due diligence, and climate change risk assessment, underpinned by a Master of Environmental Management from the University of Queensland.

Jungha Chung is a GIS Coordinator with experience supporting major energy and infrastructure projects through spatial data management, mapping, and geospatial analysis. She has worked across large, multidisciplinary projects, managing complex spatial datasets and repositories, producing construction and alignment mapping, and supporting teams with accurate, high-quality spatial information. Jungha brings strong technical capability across the ArcGIS Enterprise suite, AutoCAD, SQL, FME, Python and ModelBuilder, with a focus on data quality, automation, and practical project support.

Tom Cranny is a committed and skilled Senior Environmental Planner, specialising in environmental assessment, project management, and spatial analysis, holding a Bachelor of Regional and Town Planning.

With four years of experience at 28 South Environmental, Tom has progressed through a range of diverse roles. From starting out as a field assistant and GIS technician, he advanced to Planning Graduate undertaking environmental assessments across a broad range of Local Governments, including State and Commonwealth referral pathways, and progressing to project manager. Tom also gained international experience working as a Town Planner for a small local government in Canada, which provided him with a unique understanding of diverse planning approaches and regulatory frameworks.

Most recently, he has been involved with the expansion of the company to the Sunshine Coast to facilitate unique opportunities for clients in central and north Queensland. This comprehensive journey has equipped him with a strong working knowledge of the environmental planning sector, alongside expertise in GIS analysis and strategic environmental design.

Tom skillfully translates these insights, applying innovative solutions to his passion for fostering sustainable urban precincts, places, and cities. He is particularly excited to contribute to a number of upcoming Olympic, infrastructure, and strategic projects that will leave a lasting sustainable legacy for Queensland.

Kate Cosgrove is a Graduate Environmental Planner with experience in environmental planning, assessment, and sustainability initiatives in Australia and overseas. She supports the preparation of technical documentation and planning submissions, with skills in GIS, environmental monitoring, and stakeholder engagement. Kate’s varied background in environmental projects, community engagement and program coordination allows her to bring both technical capability and a practical, people-focused perspective to her work.

Nick Dennett is an Environmental Consultant with experience in ecological assessment, environmental compliance, and technical reporting across Queensland. He has contributed to a range of residential, infrastructure, renewable energy and resources projects, supporting field surveys, environmental constraints assessments, habitat and offset evaluations, and the preparation of technical documentation under State and Commonwealth legislation. Nick brings strong capability in vegetation and fauna survey work, GIS mapping, and environmental reporting, with a practical, science-based approach to helping clients navigate environmental planning and approvals.

Amber Dods is a Graduate Ecologist with a strong foundation in field ecology, habitat assessment, desktop investigations and GIS mapping. She supports projects through field surveys, flora identification, habitat condition assessment, data collection and spatial mapping, with experience using methods such as transects, quadrats and BioCondition. Amber combines practical field capability with strong attention to detail in the office, contributing to desktop assessments, field data review and the preparation of mapping outputs that support sound environmental outcomes.

Andre Foersch is an Ecologist with experience in terrestrial flora and fauna surveys, ecological assessment, and environmental approvals across Queensland. With a background in restoration ecology, he supports projects through desktop analysis, field surveys, habitat and BioCondition assessments, GIS and spatial analysis, and the preparation of technical reporting to inform planning and regulatory pathways. Andre has worked across urban development, infrastructure, water, renewable energy and mining projects, and brings a practical, detail-focused approach grounded in sound ecological science and a strong understanding of legislative and policy frameworks.

Angus Fryer is a Graduate Ecologist with broad field and research experience across Queensland and Borneo. He supports environmental projects through fauna surveys and trapping, vegetation and BioCondition assessments, spatial analysis, and data interpretation using ArcGIS Pro and R. Angus combines strong field capability with clear scientific communication, bringing a practical, enthusiastic approach to ecological work and a strong interest in conservation, threatened species, fire ecology and field-based assessment.

Hannah Gillespie is a Graduate Environmental Planner who brings a strong legal and compliance background to her role. Her experience in legal research, document preparation and client communication supports her careful, considered approach to planning and approvals work. Hannah has a particular interest in environmental law and is known for her attention to detail, professionalism, and strong written communication.

Chris is a highly skilled Senior Environmental Planner with more than six years of experience spanning both local government and private industry.

During his career, Chris has worked under numerous planning schemes across Queensland and has experience in both development assessment and the preparation of development applications.

Chris specialises in environmental and regional planning, with extensive experience delivering projects in ecologically sensitive and constrained landscapes, including rural, coastal, and biodiversity-rich areas. He is highly skilled in preparing, coordinating, and managing development applications for urban and regional projects where environmental considerations are a key focus.

He brings a collaborative approach to leading multidisciplinary teams and working closely with clients to ensure projects align with complex legislative and regulatory frameworks.

Chris is particularly passionate about integrating environmental values into planning processes and addressing the unique challenges associated with ecologically sensitive development contexts.

Emily Kinchin is a Graduate Ecologist with a strong foundation in ecological research, conservation and field-based assessment. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Ecology and a Master of Conservation Science from The University of Queensland, and has experience supporting ecological surveys, habitat assessments, tree surveys, vegetation assessments and technical reporting across a range of projects. Emily also brings a strong background in science communication and fauna husbandry, combining practical field capability with a genuine passion for conservation and positive environmental outcomes.

Abi Kinnaird is a Graduate Environmental Planner with experience in environmental planning, development assessment and ecological due diligence across both private consultancy and local government. She supports development projects across Queensland through environmental due diligence investigations, Environmental Assessment Reports, planning advice and development application documentation. Abi has a strong working knowledge of Queensland’s planning and environmental framework, including biodiversity, vegetation, waterway corridors and environmental overlays, and brings a thoughtful, detail-focused approach to helping projects navigate planning and approvals pathways.

Cameron Larcombe is a Graduate Ecologist with a background in ecology, conservation science and practical field support. He brings experience in environmental communication, stakeholder engagement and field-based operations through his work with the Tasmanian Parks and Wildlife Service, supported by formal training in ecological sampling, GIS, statistics and land management. Cameron combines strong communication skills with a practical, hands-on approach, and is building his experience across ecological assessment, monitoring and environmental project support.

Anson Lau is an Ecological Designer with experience across master planning, residential, commercial and open space projects. He brings a strong design eye and practical project experience to the creation of resilient, regenerative and sustainable environments, with skills in concept development, construction documentation, project coordination and client liaison. Anson is passionate about combining creativity with ecological thinking to help shape places that support both community outcomes and environmental restoration.

Catherine is a Graduate Ecological Designer with a background in bush
regeneration.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and a Diploma
of Landscape Design, bringing together practical site-based experience
and a strong understanding of natural systems.

Callum McKercher is an Ecologist with experience in ecological assessment, environmental legislation, biodiversity monitoring and ecological restoration across Queensland and interstate. He has worked on a diverse range of projects involving threatened species and weed surveys, BioCondition and Regional Ecosystem assessments, vegetation management planning, biodiversity offset monitoring and environmental due diligence. Callum brings strong technical capability in field ecology, GIS mapping and environmental reporting, along with experience in project management, stakeholder engagement and delivering practical, well-informed environmental outcomes.

Dianne Michaels is a Project Finance Specialist with strong experience in project financial management, systems administration and performance reporting. She plays a key role in supporting company-wide invoicing, project setup and budgeting, and the delivery of financial and project health reporting to leadership. With a background in finance and office administration, Dianne brings a structured, analytical approach to improving project controls, data quality and financial governance, along with a strong ability to translate complex financial information into clear, practical insight.

Gordon Morris is a Graduate Environmental Consultant with a multidisciplinary background in environmental management and law. He brings experience in legal research, written advice, stakeholder communication and working to tight deadlines, alongside a strong interest in environmental planning, legislation and project support. Gordon combines analytical thinking with practical skills in GIS analysis, field data collection and environmental regulation awareness, helping support clear, well-informed outcomes across a range of project and advisory contexts.

Mitchell Oxley serves as a Senior Spatial Ecologist at 28 South Environmental, where he transforms complex spatial data into clear, ecologically informed insights.

Leveraging a Bachelor's degree in Science and five years of expertise in GIS techniques, he is highly skilled in crafting visually impactful graphics, maps, and figures that underpin project outcomes. Mitchell collaborates closely with project managers, guiding investigations and ensuring data accurately conveys critical findings. He actively champions the integration of AI within environmental consulting, pioneering tools that enhance efficiency and streamline contemporary workflows.

Tahlia Piccirillo is a Graduate Environmental Consultant with a background in environmental science and a strong foundation in research, GIS and data analysis. She brings excellent communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills, supported by experience in fast-paced team environments where she has developed strengths in mentoring, training and managing competing priorities. Tahlia combines academic knowledge with a practical, adaptable approach, and is focused on building her experience in environmental consulting and contributing to clear, well-considered project outcomes.

Fleur Robson is an experienced Executive Assistant and Office Manager with a strong background in executive support, office operations and strategic coordination. She provides high-level support to senior leaders through complex diary and inbox management, travel coordination, meeting support, reporting and executive correspondence, while also helping keep day-to-day business operations running smoothly. Fleur is known for her calm, proactive and solutions-focused approach, bringing structure, discretion and strong organisational capability to fast-paced environments.

Bianca is a Senior Ecologist with over six years of field and consulting experience across Queensland.

Bianca has a Master of Science, specialising in Natural Resource Management, and has worked on a wide range of projects involving ecological assessment, offset planning, and environmental monitoring. Bianca’s experience largely includes threatened flora and fauna assessment, Habitat Quality assessment, Regional Ecosystem mapping, and the development and implementation of management plans in line with State and Commonwealth environmental requirements.

Bianca now successfully manages and coordinates ecological projects, particularly environmental offset design and management plans. She is experienced in the design and delivery of field surveys, and interpretation of spatial and ecological data which contribute to environmental approvals and reporting. She’s worked closely with clients, landholders, and multidisciplinary teams across renewable energy, mining, linear infrastructure, and local land development projects.

Sally Thompson is an Ecologist and Environmental Consultant who has transitioned into environmental consulting following a strong background in medical science. She supports projects through ecological field surveys, flora identification, BioCondition assessments, GIS-based data preparation and the application of environmental legislation across a range of development and infrastructure projects. Sally brings a practical, detail-focused approach to ecological assessment and continues to build her technical knowledge across environmental approvals, field methodologies and regulatory frameworks.
